Since this is my first post of 2014, I'm pretty sure I can still wish you a happy new year, even though we are more than two weeks into this new year. :)
To fit the new year theme, we've done a few new things - like get new haircuts (for Aiden and me!), learn new words, and try new potty methods (translate - attempt potty training. End result? Aiden now understands that he controls his ability to pee, which we consider a success....and we are back in diapers and pretty sure we are ok if he stays in them for the next 3 years).
Aiden also finally got his tubes in and adenoid out (last Tuesday, 7th). The poor kid is not a fan of anesthesia....we had an angry kid on our hands for at least an hour post surgery. The fact that the doctor scheduled the surgery for 10:45am, which meant Aiden hadn't eaten anything in over 16 hours, might have also contributed to the feisty-ness, but we won't spend too much time discussing how ridiculous I thought it was that he would have a 21 month old's surgery that late in the morning, as if though the kid could begin to understand why in the world he wasn't allowed to eat....
Back to happier moments...here's the proof of our "newness":
Pre-haircuts..... |
And the end result! (kinda hard to see but it's all I have right now...) |
Undies! (for 2 days....) |
