When you are young, you include the decimal with your age, such as 'I'm 5 1/2 years old.' Well Aiden can't quite speak for himself yet (at least nothing decipherable....he can shriek for himself but not so much speak), but I'm pretty sure if he could chat it up, he would mention that he is a 1/2 year old. That 6 month lingo is so uncooly grown-up.
We figure it's about time to get Aiden off his solely liquid diet, but I'm not sure he agrees. We attempted some oatmeal, and by the looks of my clothes, Aiden's clothes, the table, the carpet and the general vicinity of where we were sitting, I'm not sure much passed into his digestive system. Here's to hoping he loves avocados! (next item up for mess making)
We went for our 6 month check up yesterday and the measurements said Aiden is 26.5 inches and weighs 14lbs 5oz. (If you took note of the at-home stats last month, this means my height guesstimate was decent but when it comes to the poundage....well, I either don't know how to read a scale or Aiden has dropped a few ounces). I could tell the doc was uncertain if I was properly feeding my bebe, but when I told him that A eats two eight ounce bottles at daycare (stepped it up from 6oz shortly after returning from NY) and eats two more times at home, he said (slightly surprised!), 'well then he's getting plenty to eat.' Take that tenth percentile!
